12 Beauty Advent Calendars To Shop Before They Sell Out

So long to the days of a good old chocolate advent calendar, these days the beauty brands want in on the action with the emergence of the product heavy beauty advent calendar. In case directions for use aren’t clear enough, the idea is that each day in the lead up to Christmas Day you open a door of the calendar to the joy of a new beauty product. Some like the now sold-out Jo Malone and Diptique versions even feature sample size versions of their bestselling candles.

This year even more of our favourite brands and e-tailers got in on the action including Amazon Beauty and ASOS Face and Body. Ranging from small bottles of perfume to mascara and skincare, most of our favourite iconic products are included. Though the price-tag may seem hefty for an advent calendar, take into account that you’re getting 24 products within that price and you’ll soon realise you’re doing pretty well.

Rituals, The Ritual of Advent Deluxe Advent, £89

Rituals have not one but two advent calendars available for purchase this year. The Deluxe version sets up as a mini Christmas tree with each gift a little bauble hanging off each branch. Behind each of the 12 doors is a combination of full size and mini award-winning beauty and skincare heroes taken from the covetable Charlotte Tilbury collection. A few hints in terms of what to expect from the products – the iconic Pillow Talk lipstick, the bestselling Eyes to Mesmerise cream eyeshadow and the ultimate ruby red liquid lipstick, Hollywood lips in Screen Siren among nine other showstopping products.

ASOS, The Face and Body Advent Calendar, £55

This one is perfect for those who prefer a little variety as opposed to a one brand advent calendar. Even better is this one stands on the more affordable end of the spectrum and the packaging is 100% recyclable. We love it already and we haven’t even got to the products yet. In terms of products, expect appearances from brands including Bobbi Brown, Clinique and Benefit.

Space NK, Beauty Advent Calendar, £250 (reduced to £187.50)

Similarly to ASOS, there’s plenty of variety available within Space NK’s take on the beauty advent calendar. As the go-to for high-end beauty products, investing in this advent calendar gives you the chance to try out the best of their products and more importantly the ones you’ll need in your arsenal come 2019. Products include Nars, Ouai, Dr Dennis Gross and newly launched in the UK, Drunk Elephant. Watch as your 2019 beauty wish lists grows and grows with every door you open.

ICONIC London, Night on the Town Advent Calendar, £120

Another advent calendar packed with full size products, this one is music to our ears. Of the 12 doors packaged within Iconic London’s Night on the Town Advent Calendar, ten are full size products with the remaining two at travel size. Highlights include a handy Iconic London make-up pouch and makeup brushes along with the famous highlighting drops to keep you glowing throughout Christmas.

L’Occitane Classic Beauty Advent Calendar, £49

Like that of Rituals (previously listed), L’Occitane have created not one but two advent calendars. In collaboration with fashion designer CASTELBAJAC PARIS. In this classic version, behind each of the 24 doors is an irresistible surprise taken from a range of hair and beauty mini products.

L’Occitane Luxury Advent Calendar, £89

Following on from the classic advent calendar from the brand as listed above, the luxury version holds 24 luxe products worth up to £112 including hair products, fragrance, body creams and skincare. We’ll take the lot.

Selfridges, Glam Sparkle Beauty Advent Calendar, £130 (reduced to £90)

This year Selfridges have teamed up with L’Oreal and created the ultimate beauty advent calendar that certainly doesn’t disappoint. Treats included in this spectacular advent calendar include skincare hero products from Lancome, bestsellers from Urban Decay and Kiehl’s famous Midnight Recover Concentrate. Bare Minerals, Out of this World Advent Calendar, £79

With the RRP marked at almost £300, this one is worth every penny for those craving a complete makeup bag overhaul. Bringing you the best of their collections in eyeshadows, lip glosses, lipsticks, blushers, mascaras and much needed under-eye brightener for the party season, this advent calendar from Bare Minerals covers all bases. Twenty-four days worth of fan favourites and bestsellers? Yes, please!

Net-a-Porter, 25 Days of Beauty, £150

Surprisingly affordable for the otherwise very high-end site, this advent calendar is your gateway to the top products on your favourite beauty editor’s wishlist. Brands included are Omorovicza, Le Labo, Charlotte Tilbury and Sunday Riley plus a chance to try out niche, high-end beauty brands you may have otherwise missed.

Glossybox, All I Want, Subscriber Price £75 (£99 for non subscribers)

The highly anticipated advent calendar launched this year with products from Bare Minerals, Yankee Candle, Real Techniques, Nars and Huda Beauty. The most impressive part of this advent calendar is that 17 of the 25 products are full size – well worth splurging £100 on (if you’re not a Glossybox subscriber).

The Body Shop, 25 Days of Game Changing Adventures Deluxe Advent Calendar, £80

More than just your average beauty advent calendar, The Body Shop’s take on the trend hides a feel-good action to complete each day along with a product behind each door. Then come Christmas Day, it transforms into a trivia quiz to enjoy with the family. Products include a wealth of the brand’s cruelty-free makeup, skincare, body care. It’s safe to say you’ll get your money’s worth with this one.
