The new season sees not only outfit inspiration from the fashion pack, but also a fresh set of hairstyles on the scene.
Here at THE STYLE EDIT we’re all about the get-up-and-go, so we’ve put together a few of the key, low maintenance hair dos that will rock your world in 2020. That’s right… minimal effort, maximum impact.
Embrace Your Curls
If you are lucky enough to be born with natural waves or curls, now is the time to let them flow freely!
Whether you have corkscrew curls, a bouncy kink or shoulder-sweeping waves – celebrate the volume and texture this season.

The Choppy Bob
The shorter the hair, the less the maintenance, right? As our lives get busier and busier, perhaps that’s why shorter styles have made a comeback of late. A favoured style amongst the fashion pack, this season we see long hair getting the chop (to just above the shoulders).
Blunt and choppy, this sassy cut suits thick hair. Wear your bob in a side parting to add volume and bounce, tuck your hair behind one ear for extra style credits.

Double-Band Plaits
In case you hadn’t heard yet, plaits are back. Tie it twice for serious style points.
Wear this style with a middle part and slick back your hair, secure a hairband at the nape of the neck and again at the bottom of the plait.
For a no-fuss day to night style, add chunky statement earrings as you leave the office.

Straight And Simple
A popular choice with the street style set and probably a look we can all achieve with minimal effort, the fashion pack love to wear their hair down, straight and in a centre parting.
The ultimate everyday look, make this style work for you. Depending on the nature of your hair you can opt for super sleek and poker straight by blow drying silky smooth then running a straightener through the lengths of your hair. Alternatively opt for a slightly more ‘undone’ feel, by letting your hair dry naturally and embracing its natural texture.

Low Maintenance Bun
The effortless bun has been a favourite go-to for every mum on the go, slow sunday style or girl at the gym for some time. Now we say farewell to the humble messy top-knot bun and welcome its polished, sophisticated elder sister: the low-sweeping bun.
Wear this bun with hair slicked back in a middle part and tucked behind the ears or gathered loosely to frame the face.
