So, me and party season dressing don’t have the most mature of relationships.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for the sequins but really that’s part of the problem. I’m a little too all for the sequins.
And the sparkly accessories…
And the highest of heels…
I don’t know where to draw the line. Throw payday into the mix and my shopping driven mind has gone into meltdown. Any plans of saving this month have conveniently slipped my mind.
The good news is that clearly the shopping gods were on our side this month with most retailers extending their Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals right through to the end of this week. Nasty Gal are currently still running their offer of 50% off everything as are Pretty Little Thing. Boohoo’s discounts have hit the 75% off mark. Topshop have 40% off specifically on partywear, coats and knits. While ASOS have a dedicated partywear sale of up to 50% off. Surely all of the above is justification enough to do some payday shopping, right?
Besides, prepping your outfits for all of the party season’s social commitments surely gets bonus points on the basis of organisation. Bonus points that then translate into permission to shop. That’s how it works, obviously.
If the need for further justification still lingers, simply ask yourself, how often do you get the opportunity to support the sequins cause? The answer: not very. Just don’t let that same answer dissuade you from buying.
If all else fails, a little window shopping never hurt nobody. Consider it gift inspiration. A gift you’ll be buying for yourself.
Please note: prices reflect that of their retailers at time of publish.
