Mean Girls mega fans will recognise that today is a very important day. Today marks the moment that Cady Heron and Aaron Samuels finally took their relationship to the next level in the iconic movie released in 2004.
As the famous quote goes, “On October 3rd he asked me what day it was.”
Every year fans of the movie come together (usually on Instagram or Twitter) to celebrate Mean Girls, the movie that 14 years later still retains its appeal as a cult classic worthy of many a movie marathon. This year the movie will be shown in cinemas for one night only in cities across the UK to celebrate what’s come to be known as the highly anticipated Mean Girls Day. Sadly Belfast didn’t make the cut but those that did include Bluewater, Bristol, Coventry, Derby Leeds, Leicester, Nottingham, Peterborough, Reading, Southampton, Bristol Avonmeads, Cardiff Nantgarw, Derby Foresters Park, Dudley, Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester, Newham, Teeside and Wallsall where the film will be airing at 7pm.
Even more exciting for fans is that this year Mean Girls Day falls on a Wednesday and we all know, “On Wednesdays we wear pink.” which, other than abiding by Regina George’s style rules can only mean one thing…
“Get in loser, we’re going shopping.”
Here’s a rundown of everything we’d be wearing if Regina George was in charge of our wardrobes today…
