Late last year, Tommy Hilfiger announced he would be continuing his curated ‘see now, buy now’ model with his Paris showing for Spring Summer 2019. Following on from the brand’s collaboration with Gigi Hadid, this season, American designer, Tommy Hilfiger has teamed up with actress, Zendaya and global brand ambassador for TOMMY HILFIGER for a collaborative collection of womenswear.
TommyXZendaya celebrates strong, iconic women of the 70s, heralding the Battle of Versailles fashion show that took place during that era and the powerful statement made by the American models who took to the catwalk. The looks are strong and confident, championing structured silhouettes, including high-waisted jeans and suits, elevated in rich cream, navy, burgundy and Cabernet red colour palette with “Z” and “T” embroidery. Rainbow stripes and multicoloured zodiac-inspired prints add a playful edge to the collection from feminine full-length wrap dresses to luxurious satin shirts. The timeless tailored suit is updated with a modern twist, with wide-leg pants and narrow waist blazers reimagined in red and cream plaid. From apparel and accessories to swimwear and underwear, the collection embraces the nostalgia of the past while looking ahead to the future, fusing Zendaya’s unique and confident sense of style with the brand’s classic American cool NDA.
The Spring 2019 TommyXZendaya collaborative collection will premiere at the TOMMYNOW experiential runway event that will take place during Paris Fashion Week on March 2nd. Runway looks will be available across an ecosystem of immediately shoppable channels in more than 70 countries, including TOMMY HILFIGER stores and tommy.com, select wholesale partners, and social media.
