I have a friend who, without fail, has flawless nails month after month. We’re talking neon greens, matte lilacs, purple inspired marble designs, the ultimate Christmas sparkle, none of which ever appear tacky. She’s one of this people who makes creativity look easy and I’ve tried on several occasions to make her my nail art creative director. For obvious reasons, she’s politely declined. Unfortunately for me, the girl has much better things to do with her time than plan out my nail art.
Alas, left to my own devices, I’ve come across many an impressive nail art Instagram page in a bid to up my manicure game. Like a magpie I was drawn to the designs of Shoreditch Nails whose work ranges from funky graphics to their signature (and very sophisticated) stars. The romantic in me swooned over Dry by London and Alessandra Steinherr’s collaboration, ‘I Am All Heart’ design as part of Steinherr’s Festive Collection for the brand. WAH Nails gave me permission to go wild with the nail art while RoCo, Londonderry reassures me that I won’t have to fly to London just to bag some impressive nail art.
You’d be surprised by the power of a good nail art design when it comes to elevating an outfit, especially if this season’s partywear selection is proving difficult. Santa red or Rudolf themed designs may not be your vibe when it comes to nail art this Christmas (is it anyone’s?!) but give these designs a whirl at your next appointment and you’ll sparkle all season long.
