What to expect:
Ulster University will showcase Northern Ireland’s most exciting emerging designers at its annual Graduate Fashion Show on Tuesday 4th June at St Anne’s Cathedral, and will feature designs from 31 Ulster University students across a range of disciplines including knit, weave, print and embroidery with influences taken from nature, sustainability and equality.
Alison Gault, Senior Lecturer at Ulster University’s Belfast School of Art said:
“Ulster University’s Graduate Fashion Show is considered to be one of the leading graduate shows nationally and gives the fashion and textile industry an opportunity to view the work of the talent of tomorrow. The show also celebrates the creativity and vision of our students and highlights the significant contribution that Ulster University makes to design both at home and abroad.”
Adrianne Shirlow, a final year Textile Art, Design and Fashion student at Ulster University said:
“Ulster University’s Textile Art, Design and Fashion course is dedicated to creating an environment which encourages young designers to really take risks and produce collections to fulfil their creative potential, making it a very exciting environment to learn in. The graduate fashion show is a momentous occasion as it is the culmination of years of hard work and I welcome the opportunity to showcase my design skills and creativity to industry representatives.”
