“The beehive is a hairstyle in which long hair is piled up in a conical shape on the top of the head and slightly backwards pointing, giving some resemblance to the shape of a traditional beehive.”
According to the latest beauty trend, the swinging sixties are back, as big hair celebrates the return of the beehive this season. This time around it’s been confirmed: bigger is better.
This autumn/winter we see good hair gone bad, as across the shows the beehive was adorned with a side helping of attitude. Miu Miu, Thom Browne and Ashish wore theirs with a serious scowl and a lot of eyeliner.
The secret to the style of the sixties? Mousse, a good backcombing brush and LOTS of hair pins.
